For ChatGPT admins
BeigeCheck is in ChatGPT’s plugin directory, so each person installs it in a minute.
On ChatGPT Business, people can install BeigeCheck straight away, unless you’ve turned plugins off. On Enterprise and Edu, an admin allows it for the workspace first. Each person then installs it and signs in once.

Before you start
- To allow BeigeCheck for the workspace, you need to be an admin or owner of the ChatGPT workspace.
- BeigeCheck is listed by Ghostart Ltd, the company behind BeigeCheck. It works in ChatGPT on the web, on desktop and on mobile.
- Your company needs a BeigeCheck workspace, and each person needs to be on its team. Your BeigeCheck owner invites them from Team; there’s no charge per person.
Allow it for the workspace
- Open the OpenAI Admin console, choose your ChatGPT workspace, and open Plugins.
- Find BeigeCheck, by Ghostart Ltd, and open it.
- Set its installation policy: Available lets each person install it themselves; Installed installs it for everyone.
On Enterprise and Edu you can set access by custom role instead of for the whole workspace. On Business, apps like BeigeCheck are on by default, and the setting covers the whole workspace.
All of BeigeCheck’s tools only read. If ChatGPT asks people to approve each check, its app permissions in the Admin console can allow read actions.
Then tick “BeigeCheck has been added” for ChatGPT under AI tools on the Team page in BeigeCheck, so invites show people the steps below instead of asking them to wait.
What each person does
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar and search for BeigeCheck.
- Choose Install plugin, then Connect, and sign in to BeigeCheck with the email address their BeigeCheck invite went to.
- In a chat, type @BeigeCheck and say what they need.
BeigeCheck’s listing in ChatGPT →
- “Use BeigeCheck to write a LinkedIn post about our new client in Leeds.”
- “Use BeigeCheck to check this article before I send it.”
- “Use BeigeCheck to draft a proposal for a mid-sized accountancy firm.”
- “Ask BeigeCheck what we’ve approved about our client results.”
- “Anything new from BeigeCheck?”
- “Has my draft been approved in BeigeCheck?”
Remove or pause it
- One person: on Enterprise and Edu, take them out of the group or role that has it. On any plan, your BeigeCheck owner can remove them from Team in BeigeCheck, which ends their access in every AI tool straight away.
- Everyone: in the Admin console, open Plugins, open BeigeCheck and change its installation policy so nobody can install it. You can allow it again later.
Removing it from ChatGPT doesn’t delete your company’s BeigeCheck workspace or its knowledge. Your BeigeCheck owner manages those, and your subscription, in BeigeCheck.
If someone can’t use BeigeCheck
Check these in order.
- Is it allowed for the workspace? In the Admin console, under Plugins, BeigeCheck’s installation policy should be Available or Installed. On Enterprise and Edu, also check the role the person has, if you set access by role.
- Have they installed and connected it? Each person installs BeigeCheck from Plugins in the sidebar, then chooses Connect and signs in once. Until they sign in, ChatGPT can see BeigeCheck but can’t use it.
- Did they sign in with the right email? Their sign-in has to match a person on your company’s BeigeCheck team. If it doesn’t, the owner invites them from Team in BeigeCheck.
- Did they name it? ChatGPT uses BeigeCheck when it’s relevant, and typing @BeigeCheck in the request makes sure it does.
What BeigeCheck can see and do
ChatGPT gets six read-only tools: the company’s voice brief, its approved facts, a check of a draft, what’s changed since they last asked, where their drafts sent for sign-off stand, and their own voice. None of them can change anything in BeigeCheck or in your ChatGPT workspace. BeigeCheck sees the drafts ChatGPT sends it to check, and keeps their text only as long as your workspace’s setting allows. Security and data has where it’s stored and who processes it.
Using ChatGPT on your own, outside a company workspace? Install BeigeCheck from the plugin directory the same way, as the Connect page shows. Questions? Write to hello@beigecheck.com.
